Echocardiogram

Examination of the heart’s size, pumping strength, valve function and the presence of blood flow using ultrasound waves.

Preparation

• No special preparation is necessary.

• Patients will need to undress from the waist up and put on a short gown. The test should last approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
